Do I need an alarm permit?Check with your city. Most cities in the DFW metro area require an alarm permit. Without the alarm permit, the police may not be deployed, or if they do come out, and it’s a false alarm, a fee will be assessed. Having the alarm permit usually gives you 2 to 3 false alarm occurrences before a fee is assessed.
-
Who’s monitoring my system?Avantguard, a company based out of Utah is your monitoring center. They’re a 5 diamond certified monitoring center. The 5-diamond certification is the most strenuous certification in the monitoring industry to qualify for, and therefore acts as a benchmark for verified excellence. Since the certification is renewed on an annual basis, central stations must continually work to comply with changing standards and developing legislation.
